Torah Script and Calligraphy
Sunday, June 28th
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.


The Hebrew alphabet is rich with mystery and meaning encoded within each letter. This hands-on seminar teaches the beauty and meaning of the Hebrew letters used specifically in a Sefer Torah. Learn the different styles of script, the masters who developed each script, and the technique for writing each letter like a Sofer (Hebrew scribe). Students will have the opportunity to write with quill and pen. Cost: $75, includes lunch and instructional material. Click here to register.

Summer Yeshiva 2009: Advanced Jewish Education

This one-of-a-kind program is for serious individuals on the path of a universally accepted conversion or ba’al teshuvah who grew up lacking a Jewish education.

Crash Course in Hebrew
Wednesdays, August 20 – September 24
7:00 – 8:30 p.m

We are pleased to offer the NJOP Crash Course all year round. It is a great way to get you started on your Hebrew language acquisition. During this six week class, students will learn the Hebrew alphabet and vowels and begin to read some basic words and short sentences. Prerequisites: a strong desire to learn Hebrew! Tefillin Club: Sundays at 9:00

Morning services every Sunday at JewishROC. Rabbi Benamou will assist everyone in fulfilling the fundamental mitzvah of donning Tefillin. No experience necessary. We will supply Tefillin for those who do not have any.
