Daily Service Times

Monday through Friday at 7:30 a.m., and 9:00 a.m. on Sundays. .Our daily morning minyan is ideal for those who want a minyan that goes just a wee bit slower than most.
h3>Shabbat Service Times Join us for Shabbat services every Friday evening and Saturday morning. Our interactive, educational, modern orthodox services include explanation and interpretation of the weekly parasha, the Shabbat prayers, and upcoming holidays.

Join us for Shabbat services every Friday evening and Saturday morning. Our modern Orthodox services are interactive and educational and include explanation and interpretation of the weekly parasha, the Shabbat prayers, and upcoming holidays.

For those who want to spend a full Shabbat at JewishROC, we offer Shabbat: The Whole Shebang. Come for evening prayers and stay for a traditional Shabbat dinner with Carlebach style singing.

If you would like to join us for Friday night dinner the cost is $20/person. If you would like to spend the entire Shabbat with us (+lodging) $30/person, please reserve your spot at the latest by Thursday, 9:00 p.m. so we can prepare properly. Sponsorships for both are welcomed and appreciated.

Friday, September 17, 2010/9 Tishrei / Erev Yom Kippur

 7:00 a.m.        Slichot followed by Shacharit Service
3:00 p.m.         Mincha for Erev Yom Kippur (special addition of confession)
6:55 p.m.         Candle Lighting* – fast begins
*for those who say Yizkor, remember to light a Yahrzeit candle for each of the 7 relatives: father, mother, son, daughter, sister, brother, spouse.

The gate will be closed at 6:45. Please note that there is a “No Parking” sign in front of the gate. It applies to everyone at all times.

6:55 p.m.        Kol Nidrei service followed by Maariv and Selichot
Baby-sitting will be available in the library from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.


Saturday, September 18/10 Tishrei

9:00   a.m.       Morning Service
11:00 a.m.       Torah Reading – Temple service on Yom Kippur
11:30 a.m.       Yizkor service (memorial service for anyone who lost any of their following relatives: father, mother, sister, brother, son, daughter or spouse).
12:00 p.m.      Mussaf
3:00   p.m.      Break – class: laws of Teshuva
4:30   p.m.      Mincha service – the book of Jonah
6:00  p.m.       Neila – closing of the gates
7:52  p.m.       Maariv followed by Havdalah /Shabbat Yom Kippur ends (but don’t run out – we will now bless the moon!)

Light refreshments will be served following Havdalah
Baby-sitting in the library from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Registration required

For your convenience, we attached the registration form for High Holidays that includes the Yom Kippur tickets, Kol Nidrei Appeal, baby-sitting and Yizkor book.

Join us in fulfilling the mitzvah of eating in the Sukkah on Sunday, Sept. 26th at 6:00 p.m. for a delicious barbeque in the Sukkah, sponsored in-part with National Jewish Outreach Program’s “Sukkot Across America”. Sunday mornings at JewishROC Aaron Hartman w/ Rabbi Benamou fulfilling the Mitzvot of Tefillin

Join us in fulfilling the extremely important mitzvot of putting on Tefillin. Every Sunday morning at JewishROC we gather for the Shacharit morning service. Rabbi Benamou helps everyone to follow the proper Halachos of Tefillin. No experience necessary for putting on Tefillin. We will guide you through the entire process.

Following Shacharit, everyone is welcome to join us for breakfast. There is no need to register, just show up!
